About Our Water Fitness Classes

Water Fitness classes are fun and challenging workouts. These low, medium, and high-intensity exercise classes are specifically designed to be low impact and ideal for all fitness levels, non-swimmers welcome.

 

Skill level: Basic, Intermediate, & Advanced Classes Available

Class Preparation

  • New to class? Arrive a little early so your instructor can give you some pointers.
  • Alert your instructor of any injuries so they can provide modification options.
  • Take it slow. Arrive a few minutes before class starts. You’ll feel more relaxed.

Aqua Yoga utilizes modified movements and principles of Yoga in the buoyant environment of our pools to accommodate people of all fitness levels.

 

Low Intensity
Basic Skill

Fitness is a splash with Aqua Zumba, our invigorating, low-impact aquatic exercise classes. Integrating the Zumba philosophy with traditional aquatic fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba classes blend it all into a workout that's cardio-conditioning, body-toning and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.

Low Intensity
Basic Skill

Aquatic Blast is a high intensity workout that moves at a rapid pace and is designed to increase the heart rate. This water workout combines cardiovascular and muscular endurance, strength and toning with core abdominal work. Not recommended for beginners or pregnant women.

Medium Intensity
Basic Skill

This class is designed to increase the heart rate and condition the whole body. It combines cardiovascular and muscular endurance, strength and core abdominal work utilizing both the shallow and deep end of the pool.

Low Intensity
Basic Skill

This class is designed to increase the heart rate and condition the whole utilizing the deep end of the pool. Swim experience is highly recommended.

Medium Intensity
Intermediate Skill

This great outdoor activity is not only easy to learn, but also stimulates the mind and body for a full body workout.

Low Intensity
Basic Skill

This shallow water class, co-developed with Arthritis Foundation and the YMCA of the USA, is geared towards our active older adults and designed for those living with the challenges of arthritis. The focus is to help improve mobility and pain management by strengthening muscles and improving joint flexibility and range of motion. Arthritis water exercises are performed in water depth that is comfortable and allows you to maintain balance while exercising.

This basic cardio lite class is designed to challenge you with emphasis on longer stretches and improving cardiovascular fitness.

In this hydro fitness class, the resistance of the water makes the workout feel intense while the water cushions you from the impact.  This is a good class for all ages and great for runners, cyclists, injuries, osteoporosis and fibromyalgia.

 This basic cardio strength class is designed to challenge you with emphasis on form and movement options for increasing strength over time.

Brisk water walking is an easy, effective, low-impact exercise. Water provides more resistance than air, so you’re strengthening and building muscle without the joint impact.
