We encourage you to invite friends to join you at the Y for a workout. That’s because the Y is all about community, and healthy living begins with supporting one another. We also know that sometimes people need to experience the Y to fully understand how it can change lives.
Guests are welcome in our facility during the week (Monday – Thursday). Weekends (Friday – Sundays) and holidays are member-only days.
- If accompanied by a YMCA of Greater Charlotte member, you can enjoy a complimentary visit 1X per calendar year.
- If unaccompanied OR visiting for additional times, you can purchase a guest pass to enjoy member benefits for the day:
- $20 / day (Adult, 18+) or $50/week (7 consecutive days)
- $10 / day (child, under 17 yrs old) or $25/week (7 consecutive days)
- A valid ID, instant background check and waiver are required for all visitors over 16 years old.
- A parent / guardian must sign the waiver for the children under 18 yrs old prior to participating in any Y programming.
We want you to reach your health and wellness goals wherever you live, work or travel. As an active, full-facility member, you can use other YMCA facilities outside our Association at no extra cost. Your membership is accepted at 2,500 Y’s across the United States and Puerto Rico, including other associations throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Be sure to bring a photo ID and sign a waiver at each new Y. We recommend calling the Y you’ll be visiting for any specific guest / visitor policies ahead of time too. Insurance-based memberships are not eligible for nationwide access.
There are a few simple rules to keep in mind: 50% of your visits must be made to your home YMCA (the local association that collects your membership dues). Because of that, your membership must be placed on hold if you are going to be traveling for more than 28 days and visiting other Y’s. In addition, college students will need to join a Y where their usage will be 50% or greater.
If you are visiting the YMCA of Greater Charlotte from another YMCA association, we will be so glad to have you visit! Be sure to bring your YMCA card and/or photo ID for access. Weekends and holidays are reserved for YMCA of Greater Charlotte members only.
