YMCA OF GREATER CHARLOTTE NAMES NEW CHIEF EXPERIENCE AND INNOVATION OFFICER

Christine Mulder will lead the Marketing, Communications & Public Relations, Digital Innovation, Membership Sales and Healthy Living divisions.

Charlotte, N.C. – (July 16, 2024) – The YMCA of Greater Charlotte has announced the appointment of Christine Mulder as the organization’s new chief experience and innovation officer (CXIO). In this role, Christine will be at the forefront of delivering unparalleled experiences for potential customers, current members, program participants and donors.

 

Christine brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success from her previous roles in major corporations such as Driven Brands, Lowe’s Home Improvement and Harley-Davidson Motor Company.

 

In her most recent role at Driven Brands, Christine served as the divisional chief information officer for two of the company’s four divisions, collaborating closely with business leaders to design and implement digital and technology solutions that significantly enhanced the customer journey and optimized operational efficiencies.

 

Her career is marked by strategic leadership in technology-driven strategies, supply chain innovations and digital marketing initiatives, leading to substantial improvements in operational efficiencies, customer engagement, operational transformation and revenue growth.


At the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, she will develop and execute strategies that resonate with the Y's foundational values and mission, driving increased revenue and retention. Christine will lead the Marketing, Communications & Public Relations, Digital Innovation, Membership Sales and Healthy Living divisions, ensuring the YMCA continues to make a profound and positive impact on the communities it serves.

Mulder holds a Master of Business Administration from Alverno College and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. She is working to complete the CDO (chief digital officer) Professional Education Program at MIT.


Her commitment to professional growth is paralleled by her passion for empowering women and supporting nonprofits. She has been an active member of the NextUp virtual board, serving as the programming co-chair, and has launched and chaired the Women’s ERG at Driven Brands. Additionally, Christine leads the volunteer onboarding process for her church and actively participates in outreach initiatives focused on reducing homelessness for women and children and supporting foster parents and children in foster care.

Christine resides in Charlotte with her husband and their 9-year-old son. Her first day with the Y will be July 22.
