Wave hello and goodbye to summer by enjoying fresh air and lots of fun at YMCA Camp Thunderbird’s Weekend Family Camp!  We will be hosting Mother’s Day Family Camp, Alumni Reunion Weekend, and Labor Day Family Camp in 2025!  It’s a fabulous time to zip on our Aerial Adventure course, paddle around the lake, try your hand at archery, and roast marshmallows over a campfire.  

Family Camp includes everything you need to have an amazing time:

  • All Meals
  • Accommodations in a private camp cabin
  • Variety of independent and staff-led camp activities
  • Coffee and snacks available throughout the day
  • Expert instruction and all required gear
  • Nightly social hour
  • Evening campfires

This is a wonderful time to spend time together as a family or reconnect with old friends.  You can enjoy all that camp has to offer with all of your favorite people! Base prices listed below include up to 4 individuals (any mix of adult/child) and you may add more for an additional fee.  Our cabins are set up in a duplex-style and your party will have one side of the cabin to yourself.  Children under 3 years old can attend for no charge.  These rates are all-inclusive for the weekend.  
 
Mother’s Day Weekend (Friday, May 9 – Sunday, May 11) and Alumni Reunion Weekend (Friday, August 22 – Sunday, August 24):

  • Premium Cabin - $950
    • These cabins offer air conditioning and a private restroom and shower.  They can accommodate between 12-24 individuals in twin-size bunk beds (capacity varies by cabin).
  • Premium Cabin Additional Individual - $195 each
  • Open Air Cabin - $625
    • These cabins have screen windows and a natural breeze.  These cabins share a common shower & bathhouse.  They can accommodate up to 14 individuals in twin-size bunk beds. 
    • Open Air Additional Individual - $130 each
  • Tent/Drive On Individual - $130 each

 
Labor Day Weekend (Friday, August 29 – Monday, September 1)

  • Premium Cabin - $1200
    • Premium Cabin Additional Individual - $250 each
  • Open Air Cabin - $800
    • Open Air Additional Individual - $165 each
  • Tent/Drive On Individual - $165 each

 
Interested in sharing a cabin with friends?  We love that idea!  We recommend having one person register everyone in your group and then personally split finances.

Registration Instructions:

  • Go to this page.
  • Either log in or create a new account.
  • On the “Account” tab, enter your own information.
  • On the “Registrations” tab, you will select your registration.  Next is “Add-Ons” – if you plan to have more than four people in your cabin, this is where you will add them.  If you have more than 6 additional people (10 total, ages 3+) then you should contact us for registration assistance.
  • Continue to the next steps until you are able to click “Make a Payment” then “Process Selected Campers”.
  • You will then be required to make a deposit payment that his 15% of your total balance.  If you do not proceed with the deposit payment, your spot is NOT reserved.  You have the option to pay in full upon registering.  You may continue to go into your account and make payments at your convenience, however the final balance due will be drafted on the following dates if not yet paid:
    • Mother’s Day Weekend Family Camp: March 15, 2025
    • Alumni Reunion Weekend: July 1, 2025
    • Labor Day Weekend Family Camp: July 15, 2025

 
Cancellation Policy:

  • Memorial Day Weekend Family Camp, notify:
    • By March 15 – Full refund
    • By April 15 – Refund less deposit
    • After April 15 – No refund
  • Alumni Reunion Weekend, notify:
    • By July 1 – Full refund
    • By August 1 – Refund less deposit
    • After August 1 – No Refund
  • Labor Day Weekend Family Camp, notify:
    • By July 15 – Full refund
    • By August 15 – Refund less deposit
    • After August 15 – No Refund
