Every staff member at YMCA Camp Thunderbird is part of our camp family and we put our camper’s first. This may be an encouraging word after a missed goal on the soccer field or helping a camper through a difficult issue brought up during cabin devotions. Whatever the demand, our staff experiences growth, personally and professionally, as we pour into the lives of our campers.
The YMCA of Greater Charlotte requires all staff to be background checked and submit a drug test in advance of reporting to camp. In addition, staff must have current CPR/First Aid Certifications. Online training required to work for the Y will be communicated prior to staff training.
