Kids’ Morning Out offers open-ended enrichment activities to give opportunities for sensory play! 🙂 Sensory play is crucial for children’s development as it stimulates their senses (sight, touch, smell, taste, hearing). This allows them to explore their environment, learn about cause and effect, develop fine motor skills, enhance cognitive abilities, improve language skills, and foster creativity and problem-solving, all while promoting emotional regulation and building important brain connections through hands-on experiences. We are excited to once again be a pick up location for Bush-N-Vine Farm CSA boxes this year! 🥬🍓🍏🍅 They are now accepting sign ups for the spring boxes, but the deadline is February 15th so be sure to sign up soon! Our Leaders Club teens have been working through a fun debate series this month! 🙂 They’ve been working together in small groups, debating everything from tacos vs. burritos to unlimited time vs. unlimited money. Ballantyne Preschool Academy had a short week with all the snowy and cold weather, but that didn’t stop the hard work! 🏫 While the kids enjoyed some time off, the teachers stayed busy with parent-teacher conferences on Monday and Friday, discussing the progress of our 3s, 4s, and TK kids - of course, they’re all doing AMAZING! Back in December, the teachers assessed their growth, and this week we talked about all the exciting possibilities for next year. Registration for the 2025-2026 school year kicks off on February 1st for YMCA Members and we can’t wait to see what’s in store!
