To deliver on our promise to strengthen community, the YMCA of Greater Charlotte understands that we must reflect, engage, and connect with diverse populations at home and around the world. By working together with different segments of our communities, we significantly strengthen their impact, community relevance, and sustainability.

The YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association) is one of the oldest and largest movements for youth in the world. Founded in 1844, it now operates in 125 countries and has over 46 million members worldwide. Because of this global reach, we are able to respond to trends in migration, health, economic livelihood and education that are reshaping our local communities.
